Teen Yoga & Mindfulness (14+Y)

The life of teens can be filled with stress and anxiety, this specialized yoga class provides a safe, non-competitive place for teens to mindfully work with their physical bodies and their emotions; to de-stress from the whirlwind of school, social life, and devices! Yoga helps athletic teens learn to balance their sport with stretching and breathing. Teens who don’t participate in sports will feel good about moving where they won’t be compared with others. Participants will learn to:
- slow down and increase their awareness both externally and internally
- use their breath to find their calm during times of challenge
- learn how mindfulness on the mat can translate to their everyday lives
- feel energetic and balanced through grounding, strengthening & balancing
- have better awareness of their focus & their body
- relax and restore both their body and mind
