Alison is the founder of Yoga Joy Saigon. Her passion for yoga was born from the need to find a way to balance her life after the birth of her twin boys nearly four years ago. As her commitment for yoga grew she realized she wanted to combine her love of teaching children with the joy she got from practicing yoga. She wanted to create a place where anyone regardless of age or experience could practice yoga as a means towards personal growth. She coupled that with her desire to create a place where prenatal and postnatal women could find a community while taking care their specific physical and emotional needs and the needs of their babies. Reflecting on the birth of her daughter nearly 5 1/2 year ago, inspired her to create Yoga Joy Saigon, so that a community of support was available for all women in their pre/postnatal season. In addition, as a mom of three young children, she wanted to create a yoga studio that offered classed for children that focused on fun, inspirational, educational and healthy movement through a yoga practice. Family classes rounded out the vision she had for her studio, one that would truly meet the needs of a range of families living in Ho Chi Minh City.
