Mindfulness is the practice of becoming more present and conscious in our day-to-day lives. Studies show mindfulness has helped many people, young and old alike, deal with stress and anxiety, pay attention to their surroundings and process their emotions. Giving children tools to help them live more mindfully is key to helping them live more happily. One such tool is crafting. Crafting not only enhances kids' creativity, and allows them to have fun, but does in fact help them practice living mindfully; as the students craft they also have to live in the moment and focus. This class focuses on kids cultivating their unique creativity while deepening their mindfulness and having fun. This class runs in 4-6 week sessions (dependent on the craft). Crafts include: beading, mandala making, clay work, basic stitching, yarn works, ornament making and more…. The class is held on Thursdays from 3:30-4:10. The fee is dependent on/ inclusive of the materials.
