Hello, my name is Clair and I’m from the UK. I arrived in Ho Chi Minh City a year ago with my husband and 3 young children.
I graduated from University with an honours degree in Sports Science and have previously worked as a play worker, college lecturer, karate coach and fitness instructor. I have a wealth of experience teaching health, fitness and physical activity to children and young people.
After settling in District 7 with my family, I was surprised to find that there were very few structured activities to do with my toddler. Drawing on my experience of working with children - along with my own insight as a Mum - I created “Bounce, Rhyme, Story Time” classes so that my own daughter and other toddlers could have a regular activity to enjoy together. I’m passionate about reading with my own children and believe in the importance of creating a lifelong love of reading. My classes are designed to be fun, active and engaging - my philosophy is that if children believe that they will find fun and excitement in stories, then they will want to read books! As well as having lots of fun, the children are learning important skills - taking turns, communication, listening and early literacy skills.
I also feel that it is so important for parents/carers to have opportunities to socialise with each other - networking with other Mums has been an essential part of my journey as a parent! So, after each class we spend valuable time allowing the children to play, whilst the adults enjoy social time and the chance to make new friends.
I really enjoy delivering Bounce, Rhyme, Story Time and I look forward to welcoming you and your little one at a class soon.
