I’m Steph and I’m originally from the UK. I’ve been living in Vietnam since 2010 and hold Saigon very close to my heart, as it’s where I met my husband, Peter, and had my two beautiful babies, Ada and Arthur. Whilst I have practised on and off for years, I really fell in love with yoga in 2014, whilst studying for my MA alone in London. Early morning yoga classes kept me grounded and sane during a really stressful (and cold!) time.
I also leaned heavily on my practice during both my pregnancies, and attribute my positive birth experiences to yoga and the mind-body connection it cultivates. I finished my 200 hour teacher training course in February 2018, while 8 months pregnant. I feel like this has given me a unique insight into the limitations that individual bodies may hold at different times in our lives, and how we can use yoga to nurture and strengthen both our bodies and minds.
Since completing my initial training, I have taken further training in pre and postnatal yoga, so I can share the empowering virtues of yoga with other mothers as they begin their own journey into parenthood.
Steph has taken a 12 hour continuing education training to learn how to guide a restorative yoga practice.
